I don’t exactly know what to write. . . . .

But I will return once I do ;~;

Recipe – Red Velvet Pancakes

Last night, I had to help a younger brother on a project for school. He had to do a speech on making cookies. So, being the knd, loving, and amazing sister that I am, I decided to give him some help. We made sugar cookies, and hen put marshmallows on the top of them with icing. We sprinkled little white/clear sprinkles to give it a snow-like affect. The baking of said cookies got me in the mood to bake even more things. I found that I had missed going into the kitchen to make things; cookies, cake, little treats for late-night studying. I found a recipe for red velvet pancakes, and they were sinful. It honestly should be a sin to make something so good. Though the pancakes by themselves weren’t the best, add frosting? Brilliant. It was an explosion of sweetness and sugar and vanilla. Needless to say, I ate quite a few of them.

Well, I seemed to have gotten nominated for something-or-other. I don’t exactly know what it is. But thanks? xD

And now it seems I have to answer some questions:

Oh where to begin? At the moment, Viva la Vida – Coldplay
2. What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a journalist
3. Why did you make a blog?

I honestly haven’t a clue. I wanted to do book reviews, and then it started to be where I could type up something that was on my mind and post it.

4. If you could be any animal, what would you be ?

um
5. Favorite food ?

Ramen noodles
6. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Tokyo, Japan
7. If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

My legs
8. If you got 3 wishes, what would they be?

1) 200 billion $ 2) For an all expense paid trip around the world. 3) A photographic memory.
9. Favorite sport?

Soccer
10. Do you know any other languages?

I am currently taking mandarin
11. If you could meet anyone, who would you meet ?

Oh! This is a good question, actually. . . . . I would probably want to meet Paulo Bacigalupi (one of my favorite authors, currently)

I think I just want to curl up and eat M&M’s.

I really do, just curl up and eat m&m’s, and maybe cry. Crying sounds good too at the moment. Not only am I sick and miserable, but I’m on my period, sick, and miserable. Isn’t life fun right now? So, I’ve got cookies baking in the oven, and I want some m&m’s. Which is funny, because I really don’t like chocolate or anything, it’s just not good to me. BUT M&M’s AND CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES SOUND LIKE HEAVEN RIGHT NOW. Oooh, and crying and eating cookies sounds great. Because who doesn’t love that hormonal roller coaster ride you get? Sooo much fun!

It’s been awhile, I apologize.

Things have been a little upside down as of late, and I haven’t been able to get on and post as I would like to. I was on vacation until yesterday afternoon, and I didn’t have wi-fi or anything of the sort, and my computer was left at home. And lucky me, I seem to have caught something. My throat hurts, I’m coughing, sometimes I can’t breathe, I’m running a fever, the list goes on. Not only am I sick, but I managed to make most of my family sick as well. Needless to say, they aren’t exactly happy with me because of that. But it’s not really my fault, so they can’t blame me. Hopefully, I’ll be up and running again by Wednesday, and I have a couple of reviews for you sometime in the next two weeks or so.
But I’m a procrastinator at heart, so you never know with me.

Book Review – Obsidian

Book Review – Obsidian – by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This was a great book! Not only did it manage to keep me hooked, but it also managed to make me smile, which is a rare occurrence in most books. {What’s with all the gloomy books here people?} Anyways, it was a good, easy going read that I enjoyed. The plot is great, and it’s such a refresher to read an amazing fantasy novel that isn’t related to vampires. [Not that I have anything against vampire books, I just finished reading one last night. What, you ask, is it about then?
Aliens. But don’t worry, not your typical green skinned, five eyed, three fingered aliens. I’m talking sexy aliens with very different attitudes.

Jennifer Armentrout did a great job. It has enough older content that I’m satisfied, and makes for an easy read. Her plot lines were intent, and left me breathless at times. This is certainly a one of a kind book, and I enjoyed it. Not often do I stumble across something as cool as a book about aliens, and even more rare, that I enjoy the book about aliens.
note: I try not to give too much away with these reviews. I HATE it when a review spoils a book. I like to think of my reviews as straight, truthful, and to the point. You won’t find much about plot, or about the characters, but that’s good. Read it and see for yourself.

until next time,

It’s been an interesting week.

It’s been interesting, to say the least. And the week is only half over, only two more days of school- which I’m happy for. I got this beautiful journal at Marshall’s the other day, and I can’t seem to put it down. I’ve been writing and writing in it, and I’ve finally found my muse again. Currently, I’m writing a story about an art teacher with a different sort of twist in it, one that I’ve personally never read about. SO at least I’m feeling a little original here. Anyways, I actually have a few followers and I’m surprised, frankly. It may only be two or three but I still have them, which makes me smile. It’s a good feeling to know what you post might actually be read.

I have a book review in my drafts that I’m going to finish up and write. If you’ve ever read the Lux series, you might be familiar with it. But that’s all the spoilers I’m giving at the moment. My mother handed me a new book today. Looking for Alaska, by John Green. I’ve heard it’s good, so now I’m putting that opinion  on trial- once I finish the book I’m reading. My problem this week is that I can’t seem to get motivated to read. I love the book and it’s keeping me hooked, but I just don’t feel like sitting down for a bit and reading and finishing it. I’m halfway through, and hopefully by tomorrow night it’ll be completed. Perhaps I’ll even post a review about it, though I’m not sure if I will just because I’ve been dragging it out chapter by chapter.

So let’s see, something else to ramble on and talk about, as I’ve seemed to be doing a lot of this in this post. I think I have an English quiz tomorrow.  I hate English, by the way. While I love to write and read, the grammar lessons are positively prosaic. They don’t hold my attention and my mind started to wander and that’s not a good thing. Which is why I usually fail the quizzes and tests on it. The good news, is that I make up for it in mandarin. I get 105’s on those. So, while I can’t even write my own language well, I can write a foreign language with ease. Welcome to the upside down chronicles on my life.

until next time,
